Gifted Program-Purpose

The Gifted Program recognizes students who have been identified through a state evaluation as being Gifted. The goal of the Gifted Program is to provide opportunities for accelerated learning and to provide enrichment in the cognitive and affective domains.

Referral Process

Interested parents should telephone their child's school for information on screening and evaluation procedures. Students will be eligible for an evaluation on the basis of teacher/parent/self recommendation and results of school-based screenings.

Talented Program-Purpose

The Talent Education Program (TEP) recognizes students who have been identified through a state evaluation as being talented in the areas of drama, music and/or visual arts. The goal of the TEP is to develop and broaden the students' talents and knowledge in both the performing and visual arts.
